The wise counsel God gives when I’m awake is confirmed by my sleeping heart. Day and night I’ll stick with God; I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go.  Hallelujah! I give thanks to God with everything I’ve got. Wherever good people gather, and in the congregation. God’s works are so great, worth A lifetime of study, endless enjoyment! Splendor and beauty mark his craft; His generosity never gives out. His miracles are his memorial. This God of Grace, this God of Love.  He gave food to those who fear him, He remembered to keep his ancient promise. He proved to his people that he could do what he said: Hand them the nations on a platter, a gift! He manufactures truth and justice; All his products are guaranteed to last. Never out-of-date, never obsolete, rust-proof. All that he makes and does is honest and true: He paid the ransom for his people, He ordered his Covenant kept forever. He’s so personal and holy, worthy of our respect. The good life begins in the fear of God. Do that and you’ll know the blessing of God. His Hallelujah lasts forever!

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! Honor God with everything you own;  give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline; don’t sulk under his loving correction. It’s the child he loves that God corrects; a father’s delight is behind all this.

You’re blessed when you meet Lady Wisdom, when you make friends with Madame Insight. She’s worth far more than money in the bank; her friendship is better than a big salary. Her value exceeds all the trappings of wealth; nothing you could wish for holds a candle to her. With one hand she gives long life, with the other she confers recognition. Her manner is beautiful, her life wonderfully complete. She’s the very Tree of Life to those who embrace her. Hold her tight, and be blessed! God’s curse blights the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous. He gives proud skeptics a cold shoulder, but if you’re down on your luck, he’s right there to help. Wise living gets rewarded with honor; stupid living gets the booby prize.

When we make the decision to become a Christian, our guidelines should be based on the Bible, yet today we have several individuals who profess to be Christians and still refuse to use the Bible as an example. These same individuals refer to god’s word, but use it only when the words suit them or their cause. That is not what God wants from us, we are expected to follow the Bible and Gods word completely.

The Bible is very clear in how we are supposed to act in our sexual orientation. We cannot profess to be Christians, yet blatantly disobey the word of God, just because it does not suit us. There will come a time when we will be expected to account for our actions in this matter and you can expect a similar reaction as Sodom and Gomorrah.

Not because you appreciate how a woman wears her clothes, should you choose to wear them. Men (and women) are expected to wears their clothes, not each others. Cross dressers are just as guilty of going against God’s word as individuals who choose members of their own sex to go to bed with. We should not confuse the enjoyment of someone’s company, (as a friend) to crossing that very serious line to the same sex relationship.

Bible principles are very important for us to live by, simply because this is how we tell God and the rest of the world where our priorities lie. It is pointless telling the world that we believe in God and we will follow him forever, yet we  insist on living a life that he would obviously not approve of.

Christianity is all about Jesus Christ and what he has done for us. Even though we are sinners, (and we know it) we are not expected to maintain a life of sin, in fact if we are genuine Christians, the desire to sin and live a life contrary to God’s expectations would be intolerable.

Satan works overtime to establish strife and conflict in today’s society, however it is most unfortunate when he puts one religion against another. We can only hope that civility will prevail in helping cooler heads to win this one. We should be expressing our love for one another, not spewing hate and anger as we tend to do so often today.

None of us should doubt the sincerity of our Muslim brothers and their commitment to their beliefs, however it is those very beliefs that beg for reasoning from the rest of the world. Being a Christian myself, I can appreciate dedication to your chosen faith, and while some may   claim to use this commitment to their benefit, the world should realize that this religion is being held hostage by a few.

Christians have been persecuted for years for their beliefs in Jesus Christ as their one and only Savior, so why should our status today be any different. We move forward by our faith, not by our sight, and that confuses some spectators, who firmly believe that they should be able to see and touch something in order for it to be real.

Most religions today are not tolerable to others because they believe that theirs is the only true word. When another brother gets into a religious conversation, it is almost as though we see a feeding frenzy occurring right in front of your eyes. This is one of the reasons why many choose not to enter into conversations of such a nature.

This intolerance to others is what causes our society to be separated in so many different directions. We prefer to take aggressive measures against each other, simply because they do not agree with us. If anyone finds any part of the Bible, (the Word of God) that suggests being aggressive to their neighbors, they are probably reading from the wrong book, because our Creator advocates peace and love.

The Most Colorful River In The World The river shown in the photographs is the Caristales, which is located near the town of La Macarena in Colombia , South America .
The river, world famous for its colorful display, has been called: “the river that ran away to paradise”, “the most beautiful river in the world” and “the river of five colors”.
During Colombia ‘s wet season, the water flows fast and deep, obscuring the bottom of the river and denying the mosses and algae that call the river home the sun that they need.  During the dry season there is not enough water to support the dazzling array of life in the river. But during a brief span between the wet and dry seasons, when the water level is just right, the many varieties of algae and moss bloom in a dazzling display of colors Blotches of Amarillo , blue, green, black and red – and a thousand shades in between – coat the river.
The part of the river where the colorful blooms occur is quite isolated and is not accessible by road. Adventurous tourists can now fly into La Macarena and then make their way to to the river site on foot as part of guided tours. The site was effectively closed to tourists for several years because of guerrilla activity in the region along with concerns about the impact of unregulated tourist traffic. However, the site was re-opened to visitors in 2009. So far, some 1,000 people have visited Caristales, including around 100 foreign tourists. The tours will follow four clearly marked and authorized paths and one is no longer permitted to stay overnight or cook, as this was ruining the area previously.
God’s paint brush is truly at work here!

Various fruits, vegetables, nuts, and grains; ...

We all think eating fruit means just buying fruit, cutting it up and popping it into our mouths. It’s not that easy. It’s important to know how and when to eat fruit. What’s the correct way to eat fruit? IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUIT AFTER A MEAL!  FRUIT SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH. Eating fruit like that plays a major role in detoxifying your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.
FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD. Let’s say you eat two slices of bread, then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it’s prevented from doing so. In the meantime, the whole meal rots and ferments, and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach, and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil.

Eat your fruit on an empty stomach, or before your meal! You’ve heard people complain: Every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc. This will not happen if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. Fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas. Hence, you bloat! There’s no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruit becomes alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter. If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruit, you have the Secret of Beauty, Longevity, Health, Energy, Happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT the concentrated juice from the cans. Don’t drink juice that has been heated. Don’t eat cooked fruit; you don’t get the nutrients at all. You get only the taste. Cooking destroys all of the vitamins.

Eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You can go on a 3-day fruit-fast to cleanse your body. Eat fruit and drink fruit juice for just 3 days, and you will be surprised when your friends say how radiant you look!

KIWI: Tiny but mighty, and a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E and fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange!

AN APPLE a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants and flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C, thereby helping to lower the risk of colon cancer, heart attack and stroke.

STRAWBERRY: Protective Fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits and protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals.

EATING 2 – 4 ORANGES a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent and dissolve kidney stones, and reduce the risk of colon cancer.

WATERMELON: Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of  92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune system. Also a key source of lycopene, the cancer-fighting oxidant. Also found in watermelon: Vitamin C and Potassium.

GUAVA & PAPAYA: Top awards for vitamin C. They are the clear winners for their high vitamin C content. Guava is also rich in fiber, which helps prevent constipation. Papaya is rich in carotene, good for your eyes.

Drinking Cold water after a meal = Cancer!

Can you believe this? For those who like to drink cold water, this applies to you. It’s nice to have a cold drink after a meal, however, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you’ve just consumed, which slows digestion. Once this ‘sludge’ reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks.

HEART ATTACK PROCEDURE

Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. Sixty percent of people who have a heart attack while they’re asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Be careful, and be aware. The more we know, the better our chance to survive.

Church of the Holy Sepulchre - Mother of God!

I grew up with practical parents. A mother, God love her, who washed aluminum foil after she cooked in it, then reused it. She was the original recycle queen, before they had a name for it… A father who was happier getting old shoes fixed than buying new ones. Their marriage was good, their dreams focused. Their best friends lived barely a wave away.. I can see them now, Dad in trousers, tee shirt and a hat and Mom in a house dress, lawn mower in one hand, and dish-towel in the other. It was the time for fixing things.. A curtain rod, the kitchen radio, screen door, the oven door, the hem in a dress. Things we keep.

It was a way of life, and  sometimes it made me crazy.. All that re-fixing, eating, renewing, I wanted just once to be wasteful. Waste meant affluence. Throwing things away meant you knew they would always be more. But then my mother died, and on that clear summer’s night, in the warmth of the hospital room, I was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn’t any more. Sometimes, what we care about most gets all used up and goes away…never to return.. So… while we have it….. it’s best we love it…. and care for it… and fix it when it’s broken……… and heal it when it’s sick.

This is true. for marriage……. and old cars….. and children with bad report cards….. and dogs with bad hips…. and aging parents….. and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it. Some things we keep. Like a   best friend that moved away or a classmate we grew up with. There are just some things that make life important, like people we know who are special…….. and so, we keep them close! Send this to those people that are “keepers” in your life.  Good friends are like stars…. You don’t always see them, but you know they are always there.  Keep them close!
EIGHT THINGS GOD WON’T ASK ON THAT DAY.

1…. God won’t ask what kind of car you drove. He’ll ask how many people you drove who didn’t have transportation..

2…. God won’t ask the square footage of your house, He’ll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.

3…. God won’t   ask about the clothes you had in your closet, He’ll ask how many you helped to clothe.

4…. God won’t ask what your highest salary was. He’ll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.

5…. God won’t ask what your job title was. He’ll ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability.

6…. God won’t ask how many friends you had. He’ll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.

7…. God won’t ask in what neighborhood you lived, He’ll ask how you treated your neighbors.

8…. God won’t ask about the color of your skin, He’ll ask about the content of your character.
