THIS LITTLE CHILD
Verse 1
Who would have thought that long ago
So very far away
A little child would be born
And in a manger laid

And who would have thought this little child
Was born the King of kings
The Son of just the carpenter
For whom the angels sing

And who would have thought that as He grew
And with other children played
This child of whom they laughed and sang
Would die for them some day

And who would have thought this little child
Could make a blind man see
Feed the hungry make rich the poor
And set the sinner free

Oh, who would have thought this little child
Was who the prophets said
Would take away the sins of man
And rise up from the dead

Chorus 1
Oh, I believe and I will always sing
This little child is the King
Oh, I believe and I will always sing
This little child
He is the King of kings

Verse 2
Many years have come and gone
Yet this world remains the same
Empires have been built and fallen
Only time has made a change
Nation against nation
Brother against brother
Men so filled with hatred
Killing one another
And over half the world is starving
While our banner of decency is torn
Debating over disarmament
Killing children before they’re born
And fools who march to win the right
To justify their sin
Oh, every nation that has fallen
Has fallen from within
Yet in the midst of this darkness
There is a hope a light that burns
This little child the King of kings
Some day will return

Chorus 2
And I believe and I will always sing
This little child is the King
And I believe and I will always sing
This little child
He is the King of kings

Verse 3
Who would have thought this little child
Is who the prophets said
Will return to judge this world
The living and the dead
Oh, can’t you see that long ago
So very far away
This little child our only hope
Was born a King that day

The United States
Image via Wikipedia
A father wanted to read a magazine but was being bothered by his little
girl, Shelby.  She wanted to know what the United States looked like.
Finally, he tore a sheet out of his new magazine on which was printed
the map of the country.  Tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to Shelby
and said, ‘Go into the other room and see if you can put this together.
This will show you our whole country today.’

After a few minutes, Shelby returned and handed him the map, correctly

fitted and taped together.  The father was surprised and asked how she

had finished so quickly.  ‘Oh,’ she said, ‘on the other side of the paper was a picture of Jesus.  When I got all of Jesus back where He belonged,

then our country just came together.’

Sooo…. when we get Jesus back where he Belongs

our world will come together.

Do I hear an AMEN out there?

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Rev. 14:12.
We have need now for more than human wisdom in reading and searching the Scriptures; and if we come to God’s Word with humble hearts, He will raise up a standard for us against the lawless element.

It is difficult to hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm unto the end; and the difficulty increases when there are hidden influences constantly at work to bring in another spirit, a negative element, on Satan’s side of the question. In the absence of persecution, there have drifted into our ranks some who appear sound, and their Christianity unquestionable, but who, if persecution should arise, would go out from us.

When the law of God is made void the church will be sifted by fiery trials, and a larger proportion than we now anticipate, will give heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. Instead of being strengthened when brought into strait places, many prove that they are not living branches of the True Vine. . .

But when the world makes void the law of God, what will be the effect upon the truly obedient and righteous? Will they be carried away by the strong current of evil? Because so many rank themselves under the banner of the prince of darkness, will God’s commandment-keeping people swerve from their allegiance? Never! Not one who is abiding in Christ will fail or fall. His followers will bow in obedience to a higher authority than that of any earthly potentate.

While the contempt placed upon God’s commandments leads many to suppress the truth and show less reverence for it, the faithful ones will with greater earnestness hold aloft its distinguishing truths. We are not left to our own direction. . . . We should consult His Word with humble hearts, ask His counsel, and give up our will to His. We can do nothing without God.

All this trouble is a clear sign that God has decided to make you fit for the kingdom. You’re suffering now, but justice is on the way. When the Master Jesus appears out of heaven in a blaze of fire with his strong angels, he’ll even up the score by settling accounts with those who gave you such a bad time. His coming will be the break we’ve been waiting for. Those who refuse to know God and refuse to obey the Message will pay for what they’ve done. Eternal exile from the presence of the Master and his splendid power is their sentence. But on that very same day when he comes, he will be exalted by his followers and celebrated by all who believe, and all because you believed what we told you.

Every time the Animals gave glory and honor and thanks to the One Seated on the Throne, the age-after-age Living One, the Twenty-four Elders would fall prostrate before the One Seated on the Throne. They worshiped the age-after-age Living One. They threw their crowns at the foot of the Throne, chanting, Worthy, O Master! Yes, our God! Take the glory! the honor! the power! You created it all; It was created because you wanted it.

I saw something like a sea made of glass, the glass all shot through with fire. Carrying harps of God, triumphant over the Beast, its image, and the number of its name, the saved ones stood on the sea of glass. They sang the Song of Moses, servant of God; they sang the Song of the Lamb: Mighty your acts and marvelous, O God, the Sovereign-Strong! Righteous your ways and true, King of the nations! Who can fail to fear you, God, give glory to your Name? Because you and you only are holy, all nations will come and worship you, because they see your judgments are right.

But you’ll welcome us with open arms when we run for cover to you. Let the party last all night! Stand guard over our celebration. You are famous, God, for welcoming God-seekers, for decking us out in delight. What a stack of blessing you have piled up for those who worship you, Ready and waiting for all who run to you to escape an unkind world. You hide them safely away from the opposition. As you slam the door on those oily, mocking faces, you silence the poisonous gossip. Blessed God! His love is the wonder of the world. Trapped by a siege, I panicked. “Out of sight, out of mind,” I said. But you heard me say it, you heard and listened.

What a beautiful thing, God, to give thanks, to sing an anthem to you, the High God! To announce your love each daybreak, sing your faithful presence all through the night, Accompanied by dulcimer and harp, the full-bodied music of strings.

So come, let us worship: bow before him, on your knees before God, who made us! Oh yes, he’s our God, and we’re the people he pastures, the flock he feeds. Drop everything and listen, listen as he speaks: “Don’t turn a deaf ear as in the Bitter Uprising, As on the day of the Wilderness Test, when our ancestors turned and put Him to the test. For forty years they watched him at work among them, as over and over they tried his patience. And He was provoked, oh, was He provoked! ‘Can’t they keep their minds on God for five minutes? Do they simply refuse to walk down His road?’ Exasperated, He exploded,  ‘They’ll never get where they’re headed, never be able to sit down and rest.'”

If you reason with an arrogant cynic, you’ll get slapped in the face; confront bad behavior and get a kick in the shins. So don’t waste your time on a scoffer; all you’ll get for your pains is abuse. But if you correct those who care about life, that’s different, they’ll love you for it! Save your breath for the wise, they’ll be wiser for it; tell good people what you know, they’ll profit from it. Skilled living gets its start in the Fear-of-God, insight into life from knowing a Holy God. It’s through me, Lady Wisdom, that your life deepens, and the years of your life ripen. Live wisely and wisdom will permeate your life; mock life and life will mock you.

Grow a wise heart, you’ll do yourself a favor; keep a clear head, you’ll find a good life. Nothing clever, nothing conceived, nothing contrived, can get the better of God. It’s better to be wise than strong; intelligence outranks muscle any day. Strategic planning is the key to warfare; to win, you need a lot of good counsel. The best you can do with your life is have a good time and get by the best you can. The way I see it, that’s it, divine fate. Whether we feast or fast, it’s up to God. God may give wisdom and knowledge and joy to his favorites, but sinners are assigned a life of hard labor, and end up turning their wages over to God’s favorites. Nothing but smoke, and spitting into the wind.

The Message Isaiah got regarding Judah and Jerusalem: There’s a day coming when the mountain of God’s House Will be The Mountain, solid, towering over all mountains.
All nations will river toward it, people from all over set out for it. They’ll say, “Come, let’s climb God’s Mountain, go to the House of the God of Jacob. He’ll show us the way he works so we can live the way we’re made.”Zion’s the source of the revelation. God’s Message comes from Jerusalem. He’ll settle things fairly between nations. He’ll make things right between many peoples. They’ll turn their swords into shovels, their spears into hoes. No more will nation fight nation; they won’t play war anymore. Come, family of Jacob, let’s live in the light of God.

Remember, our Message is not about ourselves; we’re proclaiming Jesus Christ, the Master. All we are is messengers, errand runners from Jesus for you. It started when God said, “Light up the darkness!” and our lives filled up with light as we saw and understood God in the face of Christ, all bright and beautiful. If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believably, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.

The wise counsel God gives when I’m awake is confirmed by my sleeping heart. Day and night I’ll stick with God; I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go.  Hallelujah! I give thanks to God with everything I’ve got. Wherever good people gather, and in the congregation. God’s works are so great, worth A lifetime of study, endless enjoyment! Splendor and beauty mark his craft; His generosity never gives out. His miracles are his memorial. This God of Grace, this God of Love.  He gave food to those who fear him, He remembered to keep his ancient promise. He proved to his people that he could do what he said: Hand them the nations on a platter, a gift! He manufactures truth and justice; All his products are guaranteed to last. Never out-of-date, never obsolete, rust-proof. All that he makes and does is honest and true: He paid the ransom for his people, He ordered his Covenant kept forever. He’s so personal and holy, worthy of our respect. The good life begins in the fear of God. Do that and you’ll know the blessing of God. His Hallelujah lasts forever!

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! Honor God with everything you own;  give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline; don’t sulk under his loving correction. It’s the child he loves that God corrects; a father’s delight is behind all this.

You’re blessed when you meet Lady Wisdom, when you make friends with Madame Insight. She’s worth far more than money in the bank; her friendship is better than a big salary. Her value exceeds all the trappings of wealth; nothing you could wish for holds a candle to her. With one hand she gives long life, with the other she confers recognition. Her manner is beautiful, her life wonderfully complete. She’s the very Tree of Life to those who embrace her. Hold her tight, and be blessed! God’s curse blights the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous. He gives proud skeptics a cold shoulder, but if you’re down on your luck, he’s right there to help. Wise living gets rewarded with honor; stupid living gets the booby prize.

When we make the decision to become a Christian, our guidelines should be based on the Bible, yet today we have several individuals who profess to be Christians and still refuse to use the Bible as an example. These same individuals refer to god’s word, but use it only when the words suit them or their cause. That is not what God wants from us, we are expected to follow the Bible and Gods word completely.

The Bible is very clear in how we are supposed to act in our sexual orientation. We cannot profess to be Christians, yet blatantly disobey the word of God, just because it does not suit us. There will come a time when we will be expected to account for our actions in this matter and you can expect a similar reaction as Sodom and Gomorrah.

Not because you appreciate how a woman wears her clothes, should you choose to wear them. Men (and women) are expected to wears their clothes, not each others. Cross dressers are just as guilty of going against God’s word as individuals who choose members of their own sex to go to bed with. We should not confuse the enjoyment of someone’s company, (as a friend) to crossing that very serious line to the same sex relationship.

Bible principles are very important for us to live by, simply because this is how we tell God and the rest of the world where our priorities lie. It is pointless telling the world that we believe in God and we will follow him forever, yet we  insist on living a life that he would obviously not approve of.

Christianity is all about Jesus Christ and what he has done for us. Even though we are sinners, (and we know it) we are not expected to maintain a life of sin, in fact if we are genuine Christians, the desire to sin and live a life contrary to God’s expectations would be intolerable.

Satan works overtime to establish strife and conflict in today’s society, however it is most unfortunate when he puts one religion against another. We can only hope that civility will prevail in helping cooler heads to win this one. We should be expressing our love for one another, not spewing hate and anger as we tend to do so often today.

None of us should doubt the sincerity of our Muslim brothers and their commitment to their beliefs, however it is those very beliefs that beg for reasoning from the rest of the world. Being a Christian myself, I can appreciate dedication to your chosen faith, and while some may   claim to use this commitment to their benefit, the world should realize that this religion is being held hostage by a few.

Christians have been persecuted for years for their beliefs in Jesus Christ as their one and only Savior, so why should our status today be any different. We move forward by our faith, not by our sight, and that confuses some spectators, who firmly believe that they should be able to see and touch something in order for it to be real.

Most religions today are not tolerable to others because they believe that theirs is the only true word. When another brother gets into a religious conversation, it is almost as though we see a feeding frenzy occurring right in front of your eyes. This is one of the reasons why many choose not to enter into conversations of such a nature.

This intolerance to others is what causes our society to be separated in so many different directions. We prefer to take aggressive measures against each other, simply because they do not agree with us. If anyone finds any part of the Bible, (the Word of God) that suggests being aggressive to their neighbors, they are probably reading from the wrong book, because our Creator advocates peace and love.
